On Thursday, June 23, Photos of Zenith Bank management team reportedly begging  Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state. were circulated on social media. Reuben Abati, the former special adviser on media and publicity to President Goodluck Jonathan has reacted to the controversial photo.
The pictures surfaced after Zenith Bank denied funding Fayose’s campaign during the 2014 governorship election in Ekiti state, when EFCC, on Monday, June 20, froze two personal accounts of Fayose as part of investigation into N4.7billion Fayose allegedly received from the Office of the National Security Adviser during his election campaign in 2014.

the governor however, claimed his campaign was funded by Zenith Bank.
On his part, Abati urged Zenith Bank to give Nigerians an explanation.
He shared the photo on his Facebook page with the caption: “If this is true, @zenithbankplc owes us an explanation if not a clarification. Will they just hurry up and act as responsible corporate citizens? Too many lessons loading, right here.”

In reaction, some of his followers observed that a lot of things were wrong with the photo.
Emmanuel Godwin noted that there was no evidence to show that the people kneeling were with the governor.

At least one person here speaks like a real reasonable and attention to details and good observant @ Leneke Samson you are a great man only fools just look with blind eyes and talk without observing imagine people sitting with Fayose are on red ties and the guys kneeling are on black and also have hair, there is also no evidence they are with the governor, where is Fayose and where is the chair they sat on please I can continue to name things observed if I have that time but for me Nigeria is ruin by all the politicians of both parties combined so I support non in whatever they try to formulate because I won’t give in to their mockery of Nigerians who still have no eyes to see is time to fight for their right through revolution against these politicians and their northerners combined. God help Nigeria we pray everyday but we do not our part,” he wrote.

Some others took a swipe at Fayose, describing him as childish.
