A hawker who was allegedly fleeing from officials of the Kick Against Indiscipline task force was hit and killed by a vehicle on Ikorodu Road in Maryland area of Lagos state today.
As a result hawkers and suspected hoodlums in the area protested and damaged several vehicles, including buses operating under the Bus Rapid Scheme.
But order was restored by the intervention of riot policemen and soldiers.
