The spokesman warned the people in the state, particularly the farmers against storing farm by-products considered inflammable in their houses, saying instead such by products should be stored in the farm.
According to him, his agency was also warned those that were relocated to save places must remain where they were relocated to, saying government would not take it lightly with any community that refused to heed to the warning.
“At the beginning of this raining season 14 people died in fire disaster and building collapsed. Storing of hay and cornstalk aggravated the recent fire disaster in the state.
We are therefore warning against storage of such farm by products in houses.”
